The kitchen is well-equipped but if you don’t feel like cooking, a local chef can conjure up a variety of dishes for you using locally-caught fish and regional produce, according to your preferences. Alternatively there are plenty of restaurants in the area: you are deep in the countryside here yet still close to the vibrant town of Bayonne. Bayonne is proud of its heritage as France’s oldest centre of chocolate-making and bull-fighting. Every summer it holds a popular festival with corridas, bull running and concerts, which is not to be missed!

Other towns well worth taking the time to visit during your stay include Biarritz and St Jean de Luz, slightly further south.
